Day 2: More bales moved...

Saturday, July 25, 2015

Building a stone boat to pick up small square bales.

Coming back with a load of hay.

My view for the day.  Not a bad one!  :)

All ready to put bales in the new barn.

First load done.  MANY more to do.

All the little dots out in the field are all bales to be picked up.  We must be ambitious or something...  approximately 2000 small squares to be picked up altogether, and maybe more next week!

Got all boards on the roof!

We had some friends come over the weekend, so ran up to the lake and let the kids play.

They were so excited caught small, medium, and large frogs!

Lamb just making sure I don't have any goodies.

Kiddos playing on the hammock.

We finally had some time to work on the other half of the barn roof!  Ben, Tell, Bruce and Alvin doing an awesome job!

We now have all boards on the roof (just need to get pictures)!

Loading hay

Alvin was finishing picking bales up, Billi couldn't wait to get a ride!

Of course Beth gets a ride also.

Fun for the evening: crawdad hunting!  While the girls were taking rides on the tractor, Bo and Brook were searching for crawdads.  They would find one and then I would try to get it into a bucket without loosing it in deeper water.  Kids were not happy when I missed one, guess I better do some more practicing.  We caught 4 crawdads and 2 snails.

So far our greenhouse was a success!  Everything we planted came up, is flowering, and producing food!  Beans are looking promising!

Onions and carrots

Peas- will do those different next year, but they are SO good!

Lettuce planted in a pallet.

Cucumbers

Its haying season!  Which means hot days sitting in tractors, moving bales, and loving every minute of it!
